                  Fire ground Operations training by:

Fire Chief Giordano,
Battalion Chief, Wendell Burton
Assistant Fire Chief, Sam Rhode

There was a partial description of an incident commander’s multiple areas of responsibility during fire response.  Setting up Hot, Warm and Cold zones designed for everyone’s safety.

The individuals that are allowed in each zone and why, is established by the Texas Fire Commission Guidelines.

Being NIMMS compliant is Texas Fire Commission Guidelines.

Before an alumni can be engaged in the fire scene arena as an alumni, they must have on record, training in Fire Ground Operations, ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700 to be National Incident Management System   (NIMS) compliant. These can be completed on line.

NIMS (National Incident Management Systems) Training

Below is a synopsis of a meeting that was held by the chief with the DCFAAA, outlining the conditions for the alumni and any other person to be on scene for a fire and other disaster.  This includes but is not limited to working with the CART program organized by the Duncanville Church of Christ and riding out to where there is a fire or other disaster scene.
